HandyDART Services

• HandyDART is a shared-ride public transit service. It uses specially equipped vehicles designed to carry passengers with physical or cognitive disabilities who are unable to use public transit without assistance.
• HandyDART service in the transportation service region (Richmond) is delivered by local contractors through individual operating contracts with TransLink.
• Persons who wish to use HandyDART should call their local HandyDART office to request an application form to register.

Garden City Cabs of Richmond Ltd. received its licenses to start operating in October 2008. This company has 30 cabs, 12 of them are accessible. The shareholders of the company have gone to great effort to accommodate the special needs of the disabled community in the City of Richmond, and are currently working to renovate and upgrade their offices, and make them accessible as well.
